This is confirmed by the analyses carried out on water quality by the SNPA (National System for the Protection of the Environment) and ARPA (Regional Agency for the Prevention and Protection of the Environment) agencies.

Every year, the SNPA, in collaboration with ARPA Puglia, analyses and monitors the quality of Italian bathing water by collecting around 30,000 samples from Italian seas and lakes to ensure the safety of bathers. The results are then made public through a ranking of the cleanest Italian waters.

The latest analysis shows that the sea along the Apulian coast is 99% clean, taking first place in the ranking of the cleanest seas in Italy, surpassing Sardinia (with 97.6%) and Tuscany (with 96%).
